Saw this in my 23-7-07 copy of Voice Newspaper (UK). A few have criticed my lighted heartd article on this film for heaping too much praise on it. All I can say is- I no know book o! And I have never seen any other Nollywood film advertised in the UK press before.

I have watched the movie. It was a fair effort but like most nollywood movies, a little bit bland in the middle. But of course, I sang along to the few efik songs they sang and the actors too tried in their delivery of their lines in efik.

Calabar girl- yes. Te script was wooly in the middle. Budget was about $400,000 I heard. Peanuts. I listened to the Director's commentary on Blood Diamonds. Effects alone cost pass dat. Many Directors have in the past flown in new script writings to re write during shooting. Soup wey sweet na money. For the small budget, that film na miracle.
